| The article is devoted to a topic that has been ignored by specialists namely to the formation of the personality cult of Mikhail Katkov after his death in the ranks of Russian conservatives. On the example of the journal «Russkoe Obozrenie» there are shown two stages of the formation of the mythologized image of Katkov as a publicist, thinker and statesman: from critical discussions with Slavophiles about his ideology to his complete apology. |
