The article offers an analysis of the current situation in Russia regarding the implementation of the housing rights of orphans and children left without parental care. The author provides statistical data concerning the fulfillment by the constituent entities of the Russian Federation of their obligations to provide children with housing, discloses the reasons and procedure for obtaining of accommodations, specifies the reasons for the arisen debt. The article also provides examples of the most common violations of the housing rights of persons from group of orphans and children left without parental care. The author makes assumptions about the trends in the development of legislation in the area under study, assessing the effectiveness of existing regulations and ambitious bills.
