The article is devoted to the study of the forms of off-duty activity of specialists of the Armory Chamber in the XVII century. Numerous examples of the work of royal gunsmiths on private orders, the manufacture of weapons on the market, trade and intermediary activities, as well as the training of private students are considered. The assumption is put forward about the prevalence of «private practice» among court gunsmiths and its significant impact on their level of well-being. |
