The article is devoted to the author’s opinion on digital transformation in government control. The study of this phenomenon has allowed to define the main approaches to definition of digitalization and digital transformation in the sphere of government control. The analysis of the digital technologies used in government control underlined the obvious positive effects both for the state and the society, that will give an opportunity to improve the quality of growth indicators in every sphere of the government activity. Moreover, some obvious problems in the process of digital transformation in government control have been revealed. Their solution is still topical and should be given particular attention. The novelty of the study is due to the use of an integrated approach to monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of digitalization of public administration in Russia. The author has suggested a series of actions aimed at solving of the given problems.
