The article presents the experience of linguistic reception of a literary text. The material was the poem byN.A. Melnikov «Russian Cross». The subject of the study is the ideologeme «Holy Russia». The research method was the linguo-hermeneutic reconstruction of communicative meanings that determine the interpretation of the text in general and the content of the ideologeme «Holy Russia» in particular. The main conclusions of the article can be presented in the following provisions: 1) the linguo-hermeneutic method demonstrates the high efficiency of the interpretation of a literary text; 2) the ideologeme «Holy Russia» in the poem is a positively colored slot of the frame «Russia» and is opposed to the pejorative slot «USSR»; 3) the constitutive features of the ideologeme «Holy Russia» are differentiated into universal (faith, holiness, righteousness) and individual author's (sobriety, wandering); 4) the ideologeme «Holy Russia» is represented by morphemic, lexical, phraseological, grammatical, spelling, intertextual means; 5) the personification of Holy Russia is the protagonist of the poem, Ivan Rostock, who revives her ideals in post-soviet Russia.
