Abstract
On the basis of constitutional norms and the current significantly updated legislation of the Russian Federation, research on this subject of legal literature analyzes the Presidential control, taking into account its control powers in the field of public power. According to the authors, in the variety of existing approaches to determining the legal status of the President of the Russian Federation, his functions and powers, due attention is not paid to the control powers of the President of the Russian Federation as the head of state. The President of the Russian Federation occupies a special place in the sphere of public power and plays a special role, exercising organizational, administrative, law-making and control functions, endowed with sufficiently broad state powers for their implementation. When considering the main directions of Presidential control in the current conditions of Russia's development, the article analyzes the content of presidential control powers in terms of organizing and forming state bodies, appointing senior state officials, as well as in terms of implementing domestic and foreign policy of the state and interacting with the legislative, executive and judicial power. The article emphasizes that in the implementation of the control function, the President of the Russian Federation coordinates the activities of a unified system of public authority. Decrees and orders of the President of the Russian Federation represent ways to exercise his managerial constitutional powers in all areas.
