Public speeches of politicians are of interest to the public and specialists in the field of linguistics as a genre of political discourse. Each politician has a characteristic style of public speaking, where often the turns of speech inherent in political discourse are combined with vernacular, slang and other expressions. In such cases, the translator faces a difficult task when translating. To achieve an equivalent and adequate translation, it is necessary to use various methods of translation transformations. Thus, the relevance of the study of translation transformations, in particular lexical ones, in the translation of materials of the political discourse of the modern Chinese language is due to the trends in the development of the international situation in the Asia-Pacific region. The analysis of lexical transformations in this work is carried out on the materials of electronic resources that contain speeches, speeches or statements of the leadership of the Russian Federation, the PRC on topical issues and external problems.
