Verbal aggression usage in the «Vesti nedeli» newscast is analyzed in the article. The examples of verbal aggression are given in the paper. The purpose of the work is to describe and analyze the usage of verbal aggression. Lexico- semantic analysis shows that verbal aggression is based on using of colloquial and vernacular vocabulary, emotional words as well as actualization of concepts. The article shows that the necessity of using of verbal aggression aims at manipulative goals: firstly, to destabilize emotional state of an addressee aimed at the atrophy of thinking in a rational manner, secondly, to set the exact estimation of an event or a politician.
