The article analyzes the prerequisites of formation of the Palestinian question in the policy of the «great powers» during the period preceding the First World War. The actions of «great powers» in relation to the Ottoman Empire during the period of the First World War in the practice of solving the Palestinian question are analyzed. The authors focus the research on preparation and practice of realization of policy of the Russian Empire concerning the solution of the Palestinian problem in the context of world policy of the corresponding period of time. The authors evaluate results, according to the data reflected in historical sources on the resolution of the Palestinian question and the consequences that affected the subsequent developments on the territory of Palestine.
