| The main edition of the Esipovskaya chronicle, as well as its protograph, was preceded by a synodiс «Ermakov Cossacks», dating back to the «writing» of the veterans of the «Siberian Capture». This «writing», which can be brought closer or identified with the list of chieftains and Cossacks, preserved (perhaps not completely) in the copy ofG.F. Miller, formed the basis of the chronicle tradition that soon developed in Asiatic Russia. |
