Abstract
The article deals with a number of issues related to the history of the North-Eastern chronicle of the second quarter of the XII - first quarter of the XIII centuries. The main issue of the article is the question of the relationship of the chronicle code, which were reflected in the Laurentian (Code of 1185), Trinity (Code of 1185), Radziwill (Code of 1205/1206), Moscow Academic (Code of 1205/06) and the Chronicle of Pereyaslavl-Suzdal (Code of 1216). The author comes to a conclusion that somewhat contradicts the hypotheses of previous historiography. In the author’s opinion, it is possible to propose a linear hypothesis of the relationship of these codes. In 1185, a code was created, which, with the additions of chronicle articles for 1186-1205/1206, became protographic for Lavrentievskaya and Troitskaya. In 1206, on the basis of this chronicle codex with a continuation, a new codex was created, which is the first protograph of Radziwill and Academic. The text of the Code of 1206 was continued with records of the events of 1206-1214, and on the basis of this text, a new code was created in 1216 - the Chronicler of Pereyaslavl-Suzdal. The article also discusses the influence of the Khlebnikov List on the text of the Chronicler Pereyaslavl-Suzdal on the plot of the Tale of Bygone Years. Textually, the hypothesis is substantiated that there was no such influence. The question of the time when the text of the Chronicler of Pereyaslavl-Suzdal got into the compilation monument - the Jewish chronograph, created in 1262, is considered. The possibility of the appearance of the Chronicler of Pereyaslavl-Suzdal as part of the Jewish Chronograph already in the 1260s is substantiated.
