The purpose of the article is to characterize the linguistic means of expressing communicative relations between such subjects of an auctorial narrative as a narrator and a character, a character and a character. The main research methods were functional-stylistic and structural-descriptive.The article highlights the features of the formation of an implicit dialogue between the subjects of prose discourse on the basis of the syntactic level, quotations, interstitial constructions, pronouns, compositional techniques of subjectivation. The compatibility of the narrator and character segments with the estimated position of the character in various modes is determined. The specificity of the communicative effect of relations between the characters of the auctorial narration is revealed. The author examines the compounding of different speech layers, their internal dynamics on the basis of the writer's idiostyle, which allows a deeper understanding of the peculiarity of the literary text and in the future to continue to conduct research on communicative style.
