The purpose of this study is to study the experience of the United Kingdom in organizing the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, first of all, the transformation of national anti-epidemic legislation, including the activities of the police as a public authority designed to ensure the implementation of anti-epidemic measures. The main change in the legal regulation of anti-epidemic measures is the transition from the norms of the so-called «soft law» to the norms of«hard law», which provides for sanctions for non-compliance with these norms. The new principles of the UK police activity in providing anti-epidemic measures, in particular, the so-called «4E approach», which can be effectively used by law enforcement officers of other countries, including Russia, are considered .
