Explicit and implicit means of «loneliness» verbalization are considered. The material for the analysis are the lexical representations of the concept of «loneliness» used in the works of art by D. Rubina.The main research method is the philological analysis of the text (semantic-stylistic and contextual techniques).The originality of the individual-author's understanding of the named state, associated with a peripheral area that goes beyond the scope of the nomination and reveals similar states caused by loneliness (states that become a consquence of loneliness, for example: fear, self-loathing, anxiety) or causing loneliness (reasons for finding a person in a state of loneliness, for example: taciturnity, separateness, aloofness). Among the implicit means of verbalization of the state of loneliness, comparisons, oppositions, language units associated with the concepts of «creativity» and «glance», as well as descriptions of inanimate nature are noted.
