The article discusses issues of legal regulation of psychological assistance in modern Russia. The current legislation of the Russian Federation is analyzed, on the basis of which the main areas of legal regulation of the provision of psychological assistance to the population are identified. The author comes to the conclusion that the provision of psychological assistance to the population may be the object of administrative and legal regulation by the state. The main types, forms and methods of providing psychological assistance with the participation of the state are determined. A definition of administrative and legal regulation of the provision of psychological assistance to the population is given.
