Abstract
The legal purpose of control is to ensure the rule of law and executive discipline in various areas and spheres of public life. Types and forms of state control (supervision) of municipal control are diverse. An important role in ensuring the rule of law is assigned to public control. In the context of the active spread of viruses, the conduct of a special military operation in certain southern regions of Russia and in the settlements closest to them, a large number of citizens switched to remote work. In this regard, the issues of control in labor relations have become very relevant. Results: as it was possible to establish, self-control, or internal (economic) control, is not a new phenomenon, but rather a well-forgotten old one. Self-control from Soviet times to the present day is actively used in certain industries and areas. This type of organization of control over compliance with the law in labor relations is actively supported by Rostrud. At the same time, as it turned out, this form of control is enshrined only in by-laws and is not directly named in the legislation of the Russian Federation.Conclusions and suggestions: Analyzing the essence and beneficial effect of self-control, the author considers self-control as one of the forms of self-organization, personal responsibility, diligence and interest in achieving the goals and comes to the conclusion that this form of control meets the requirements of modernity, contributes to maintaining a balance of public and private interests, aimed at ensuring the rule of law, executive discipline, serves preventive purposes. In this regard, it is proposed to legalize and legalize this form of control.
