The article is devoted to the study of theoretical and practical problems of conducting an audit within the framework of disciplinary proceedings in cases of corruption offenses in the public service. The purpose of the work is to develop a theoretical definition of such an audit, to identify the relationship between this audit and an internal audit in disciplinary proceedings carried out on general grounds, to determine its characteristic features, as well as to substantiate proposals for improving normative legal acts regulating the procedure for its implementation. The methodological basis of the study was both general scientific (analysis, synthesis) and particular scientific methods (formal legal) of scientific knowledge. The article resulted in proposals aimed at eliminating legislative gaps in order to ensure the promptness of initiating a case, as well as the implementation of the principles of objectivity and fairness in the framework of proceedings on a disciplinary corruption offense. It is concluded that verification within the framework of disciplinary proceedings in cases of a corruption offense must be understood as a set of procedural actions regulated by the norms of administrative law, carried out at the stage of initiating a case, aimed at providing the subject of disciplinary power with information about the signs of a disciplinary corruption offense in the actions or inaction of the state employee.
