The list of the main directions of development of information and communication technologies in Russia highlights such as artificial intelligence, big data processing, cloud computing, robotics, cybersecurity, virtual and augmented reality. The integration of robotics classes in educational institutions in Russia poses the problem of the lack or low qualification of teachers conducting theoretical and practical activities for the implementation of educational programs in the field of robotics. The analysis of the theory and practice of professional training of future specialists-teachers allowed us to identify the content and directions of the organization of work on the formation of students' readiness in the field of educational robotics: the inclusion of theoretical issues in the discipline «Methods of teaching and upbringing (computer science)», practical training, generalization and description of experience in the process of completing coursework (projects) and final qualifying works according to the methodology of teaching computer science. The article presents the content of such training of students within the framework of the student scientific circle «Educational Robotics».
