The article raises the question of the need to improve the quality of teacher training for secondary schools. The authors argue that this can be achieved based on the pedagogical orientation of the individual, formed at the stage of schooling in the process of early professional orientation and preparation. The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of early career guidance for schoolchildren, presents the main stages of a correctional and developmental program aimed at solving the problems of increasing the attractiveness of the teaching profession among high school students; to develop strategies for constructive pedagogical support for schoolchildren through optimizing developmental interaction with teachers who are successful in the profession; to work with parents, aimed at building harmonious parent-child relationships in order to provide high school students with the opportunity to timely solve age-related developmental problems: separation from parents, competent professional guidance, successful independent professional self-determination (from the experience of the Arzamas branch of UNN). The authors formulated a number of conclusions and recommendations regarding the problems and prospects of early career guidance for high school students studying in specialized classes of psychological and pedagogical orientation.
