Due to the decision made by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation about the introduction into major educational programmes of higher education and additional professional programmes within educational modules «The basics of military training», there emerges the necessity of providing proper staff training for teaching this module. Organizing the development of that additional professional educational programme for advanced training as well as the teaching staff’s training might be realized on the basis of the UNN Department of Continuing Education (FCE) and the military training centre at UNN (MTC). FCE is licensed to develop and realize programmes of advanced training for the teaching staff, while the MTC has a rich experience in building programmes concerning military training and teaching dis-ciplines of military training for various categories of students, the modern study-training facilities for military training (including the field one), experienced and knowledgeable teaching staff. The suggested option of joint work between FCE and MTC has been successfully tested in UNN and, therefore, allows organizing the advanced training of teaching staff in other universities for holding classes devoted to the basic military training.
