Abstract
The study substantiates the formulation of the problem of updating the content of general technical disciplines in the context of multi-vector scientific and technological development and in connection with the need to ensure the technological sovereignty of the country. The difficulties associated with its solution are discussed. An approach to the construction of a methodology for shaping the content of general technical disciplines in modern conditions is proposed, the definition of multi-vector scientific and technological development as a set of relevant directions of technological progress for this historical moment, determining the existence, as well as the economic, cultural and scientific progress of society and the state, is constructed and justified; the principles of selection of the actual content of the department, invariant with respect to the level of the educational organization and the basic profile of the technical training of future specialists, are identified and substantiated.The results of the study can be used to improve the structure and content of the training of future technical specialists (engineers, technicians, workers) in terms of familiarization with the priority areas of technological development of the country, relevant at a given time. The allocation of this content, in turn, will determine the content of the training of teachers of the department in universities of pedagogical profile.
