This article discusses the use of online whiteboards such as Padlet to arrange a virtual conversation club with a native speaker to foster students’ collaboration. The purpose of the study is to analyze the possibilities and effectiveness of using the online whiteboard as an additional multimedia tool in promoting collaborative learning, involvement and active participation of students in foreign language classroom. The results of the study were obtained based on studying scientific papers on the topic of the study, reviewing the functionality of the online boards in order to determine the benefits, as well as analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. The use of the Padlet to foster university students’ collaboration contributed to interactivity, visualization of materials, increased communicative skills, as well as the possibility of feedback.
