| An attempt is made to identify a correlation between information related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the reflection of event semantics associated with the COVID-19 topic by means of constructions containing modal verbs. The paper defines criteria that make it possible to distinguish the epistemic meanings of the modal verbs may, might, can and could, depending on the availability of relevant data confirming the validity of the statement, taking into account the conceptualization factor. |
