The article considers the criminal procedure compromise as an effective technology for resolving a criminal case, which has found its legislative consolidation in the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and in the practical activities of law enforcement and judicial bodies. The author conducted a comprehensive analysis of the presence of this technology in the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation from the point of view of compliance with the principle of legality in criminal proceedings. It was concluded that the technologies of criminal procedure compromise play an important role in resolving the conflict between interested parties, meet the requirements of the principle of legality and generally positively affect the resolution of certain categories of criminal cases. At the same time, the use of criminal procedure compromise technologies requires a thorough analysis and a balanced approach from the law enforcement officer, including the possible foresight of all potential negative consequences.
