This article deals with the German procedural deverbatives -en and -ung in the aspect of taxis syncretism. The same deverbatives in combination with prepositions of temporal and other adverbial semantics act as manifestants and actualizers of various variants of taxis categorical meanings (primary-taxis, second-taxis).The study found that German deverbatives are polyvariant and polyfunctional units. They act as a means of implementing taxis syncretism in statements with prepositional constructions. When combined with temporal prepositions, they actualize the primary taxis meanings of simultaneity and diversity. When used with prepositions of modal, medial, conditional, and other semantics, they function as actualizers of various second-taxis categorial meanings of simultaneity (modal-taxis, medial-taxis, conditional-taxis, etc.).
