The problem of correlation between the concepts of "state of law" and "social state" and their constitutional principles has not lost its importance today, especially in the context of such constitutional values, the content of which is characterized by transformation, based on the theory and practice of interaction between the individual and the state. Such constitutional values include freedom of labor. It is concluded that there are no contradictions between the principles of the rule of law and social state, since the modern understanding of the rule of law is not limited to the statement of the priority of human rights and freedoms belonging to their "first generation", and recognizes constitutional social rights on an equal footing with them, the importance of which in the modern world is not less than civil and political rights and freedoms. Freedom of labor is simultaneously a principle of both the rule of law and social state, which, among other things, is confirmed by the practice of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
