This article is devoted to the study of some peculiarities of the order of serving compulsory labour through the prism of application of other means of correction. The purpose of the article is to determine the effectiveness of their application to this category of convicts. As a result of the analysis of treatment, psychological work, social work, maintenance of socially useful ties and religious behaviour as a means of correction of convicts, a certain number of problems requiring solution have been revealed.
