The “digitization” of the public sphere has manifested in a significant transformation of its functioning under the influence of increasingly new "new media". This development has raised anew the question of the social role of historians and the possibilities for their public communication. Launched in 2016, the portal Historiografija.hr publishes information about scientific conferences, publications, exhibitions, monuments, novels, films, series, etc., that have sparked public discussion. The portal serves as an aggregator (“digital archive”) of all activities related to history, primarily in Croatia but also in neighboring countries. Furthermore, it has organized a number of discussions reflecting the paradoxes in the theory and practice of public history.
