The article is devoted to the study of digitalization of federal state control (supervision) in the field of road safety. The use of digital technologies makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of control and supervisory activities, however, against the background of the transition to remote forms of interaction between control (supervision) bodies and controlled persons, a deterioration in road safety indicators has been noted. The author considers the main directions of digitalization of the control and supervisory activities of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, identifies the prospects for this process.
