Abstract
Recently the issues of responsibility of medical workers for violation of legislation on health care are becoming more and more of interest, taking into account the negative reaction of the medical community on the facts of bringing doctors or nursing staff to criminal liability for causing harm to health and lives of patients in the process of providing medical care. Quite often it can be heard that conviction of medical workers under various articles of the Criminal Code in the manner as is the case in the Russian Federation is not common in foreign law enforcement practices. In this context, it seems interesting to turn to the provisions on the liability of medical professionals abroad and compare lawmaking decisions and law enforcement practice, as well as restrictions in the profession of medical professionals who have committed offenses in different individual states and in the Russian Federation.
