The article is devoted to a comparative study of the specifics of linguistic fixation of ethno-stereotypical information in the terminology of kinship ties in languages with different structures. The study of typical models of stereotyping in different cultures and their manifestation in language contributes to the understanding of significative human knowledge about oneself and one’s behavior in society in historical and sociocultural aspects. A comprehensive study of the material of the differently structured Kabardian-Circassian, Russian and English languages using methods of lexicalsemantic, structural and linguocultural analysis made it possible to identify examples of the cultural predetermination of linguistic stereotypes, features of the explication of kinship relations that have developed historically, as well as the axiological information assigned to them, which constitute the national and cultural identity of the peoples. The introduction of new language material into scientific use promotes further research in linguoculturology.
