The acting legal representative acts as a temporary legal means of ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of a minor. The purpose of this study is to eliminate the deficit of theoretical knowledge about the peculiarities of the legal status of the legal representative. The content of the investigated object is restored by formal-logical reasoning with the use of methods of analysis of basic legal constructions, scientific analogy, induction through the knowledge of cause-and-effect relations, as well as by idealization of the observed phenomena arising from the implementation of the functions of the acting legal representative. Theoretical value of the study lies in the development of the system of knowledge about an independent form of legal representation in the form of fulfillment of duties. In legal terms, the study allows to solve the issues of qualification of actions of the temporary representative on the subject of good faith, which ensures the fairness of civil liability of the acting legal representative.
