The article considers the specifics of the provisions of the «Law on the Arctic Hectare» aimed at increasing entrepreneurial interest in the development of the Arctic territories of the Russian Federation. The right of purchasers of the Arctic hectare to build a residential building for the purpose of conducting forestry business within the boundaries of the provided forest area is noted. Proposals are being made to supplement the provisions of the law aimed at strengthening the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples of the North to pursue a traditional way of life based on the use of natural resources. The prospects of conducting certain types of forest management within the framework of the implementation of the «Law on the Arctic Hectare» are argued.
