Active transformation of social interaction of citizens and organizations with public authorities requires the search for new forms of such interaction designed to maximally ensure the rights and legitimate interests of all participants in public relations. Traceability of goods is a relatively new mechanism of interaction between the state and economic entities. This mechanism is based on digitalization processes and at the same time is designed to participate in the implementation of the integration agenda. The article attempts to define the concept of traceability, its goals and types. A conclusion is made about the possibility of positioning traceability as a modern measure of control and supervisory impact on economic entities, as well as a state control and supervision regime. A formula for the relationship between the national and integrated systems of goods traceability is proposed. Attention is drawn to the possibilities of goods traceability mechanisms to stimulate the development of internal control of economic entities.
