The article is devoted to identifying the peculiarities of self-presentation in political discourse based on the English authentic materials. The speeches by British politician D. Cameron have been analyzed. The main methods and techniques of the study are continuous sampling, intent analysis, semantic interpretation and identification methods and pragmatic one. The author concludes the tactics of self-presentation to be universal and leading in political discourse taking explicit and implicit forms of explication.
