It has been found in experiments on rats that endogenous and exogenous heparin modifies the narcotic and toxic action of diethyl ether. Exogenous heparin injection reduces the duration of the surgical phase of ether narcosis and increases the life duration of laboratory animals. An inverse process is observed at the endogenous heparin blockade by protamine sulfate. |
