| This article examines the impact of government on media activities in Arab countries. There is an attempt to categorize the various limitations imposed on the media in the Arab world. These include limitations in the following matters: newspaper publishing; financial insurance; ownership; prior censorship; censorship; prohibition and closure in exceptional emergency cases; limitations imposed on journalistic practice. |
