Abstract
A compound with the composition Pb5(VO4)3Cl, which is a synthetic analogue of the mineral vanadinite, has first been synthesized by the high-temperature solid-phase reaction. An irreversible polymorphic transition at 730°С associated with a decrease in the unit cell symmetry has been found using differential scanning calorimetry and high-temperature X-ray diffraction. Standard enthalpies of formation and polymorphic transition have been determined by the method of adiabatic reaction calorimetry.
