Abstract
The possibility of applying diffuse fluorescence tomography (DFT) for intravital whole-body monitoring of exogenous fluorophore distribution and excretion has been assessed. The study was conducted on mice, injected intravenously with photosensitizer Photosens. DFT images of animals at different time intervals after injection have been obtained and analyzed. The results of DFT-monitoring of photosensitizer content in animal tissues have been confirmed by fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy data.
