Interrelation between language and culture or connection between cultural values and language grammar structure is obvious. The comparative analysis of grammatical structures of two languages (Russian and English) presented in the article shows «the great psycholinguistic opposition» of English (so called «positive») and Russian (so called «negative») types of thinking, and, respectively, active and passive (contemplative) attitudes to reality. It also demonstrates how both types of thinking are revealed in the grammatical structure of the language and what difficulties Russian-speaking people face while learning English.
