| The promotion of non-inflation monetization of economy is an important problem for countries with transitional
economies and for Armenia in particular. Complex development of financial intermediation institutions is a necessary
precondition for non-inflation monetization. Consequently, institutional development of the financial sector is a
question of primary importance for countries with transitional economies like Armenia. The authors identify the
reasons for low monetization of the Armenian economy and propose some ways for improving the situation. |
