The article is devoted to the analysis of the semasiological and cognitive specificity of the secondary representation
of concepts on the basis of the English belles-lettres of the twentieth century. The secondary representation of
the linguistic phenomena under consideration is the conceptual derivation which is based on semasiological and
cognitive mechanisms. The language person’s ability resulting in the genesis of the secondary representation of concepts
is determined by linguocreative thinking.
