The article discusses psychological barriers of demand and naturalization of innovations in organizations as exemplified
by the introduction of information technologies in educational institutions. The commitment of the faculty
to the innovative development is an essential factor in building up the readiness of the future participants of the
countrys social and economic life for innovations. Organizational, cultural and motivational barriers for implementation
of innovations have been demonstrated using numerous empirical data. Conservative, resistant and activating
positions of teachers have been identified. Those positions are based on the peculiarities of individual motivation,
which is either supported or blocked by the organizational culture of the educational institution. Some recommendations
for eliminating the psychological barriers standing in the way of information technologies are proposed. |
