The article characterizes professional language identity of a professional interpreter in the sphere of economy.
The identity is formed under the influence of interpretation activity and language identity of an economist. The
analysis of stated characteristics explains the necessity of forming the thesaurus level of language identity of a professional
interpreter in the sphere of economy, which should be mould according to the system of principles regulating
the process of linguistic education of interpreters.
