The author analyzes the character of Israels foreign policy towards the countries of the Central-Asian region
in 1992-2000. From the moment of the USSR collapse, Israel placed a special emphasis on the belateral
relations with the countries of Central Asia, and the reasons for such a policy were: 1) these Muslim
countries unlike the Arab states didnt have any prejudice concerning Israel; 2) Israel was interested in
communicating with local Jewish communities. |
