In modern English perfect forms of the verb are constantly developing. Present Perfect Continuous passive can be considered a new perfect form in English. In some forms of the Present Perfect the phenomena of omission of the auxiliary verb have and replacement of have by done are observed, and the forms function as perfect ones. Besides, transposition of Preterit forms and Participle II into the area of Present Perfect takes place in modern colloquial English, especially in American English. |
