Abstract
Main requirements to the system of tasks aimed at forming students self-diagnostic skills during practical lessons of mathematics in higher education institutions are considered. Depending on specified groups of selfdiagnostic skills, different types of tasks aimed at forming separate operations, their combinations and skills as a whole are presented.
