This article is focused on the most important aspect of poetics in the novel ЃMoscowЃ (1925-1930) by Andrey
Bely: biblical, (Old Testament, evangelic and eschatological) motifs in its artistic space (chronotope). Biblical motifs
are shown to be related to the general plot and subject matter of the novel. The way of the protagonist Ivan Korobkin,
armchair scientist, stretches between existential states: from mocking glorification (in the episode of celebration
in his honor) to his own Calvary (ritual crucifixion, mystery blindness).
