| This article presents a study of Mayakovskys attempt to overcome the tragic world-view and to achieve peace
with the world in his post-revolutionary works. A number of motifs and images essential for Mayakovskys world
are analyzed (e.g. the image of an «alien», animal imagery, the image of revolution, the motif of Resurrection, etc.),
as well as the change of their artistic functions in Mayakovskys mature works as compared with his early lyric poetry. |
