| Some results of a scientometric study of dissertation flows in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnologies are summarized. The data on growth dynamics in the number of degrees awarded from 1995 to 2006 are presented along with the distribution of dissertations with respect to specialities and organizations where they were prepared. An analysis of publication and patenting activity of those defending their dissertations has been made. Leading universities and research organizations providing doctoral education in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnologies have been identified. |
